Are open radiant heat systems legal in California?
I want to install under floor RH and use an open system, but my plumber says it has to be its own closed system according to code. East coast websites all recommend open systems, but cannot find a CA site.
If you really don’t believe your contractor, contact the code enforcement division for your town or county. they will have the correct answer for your specific question.
